Japanese hospitality at its best, Kiriya Ryokan is a hidden gem in the picturesque village. The friendly and helpful staff, led by the fifth-generation family, made our stay truly memorable. Their attention to detail and excellent service were outstanding. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the ski fields and a short walk to the village's best restaurants and bars. The spacious rooms offered stunning views of the snow-covered gardens. The private onsen was a heavenly treat after a day on the slopes. We also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and the delicious Japanese breakfast. This hotel exceeded our expectations and provided great value for money.
No improvement needed, everything was perfect.

We stayed at this lovely traditional ryokan for two nights and were impressed by its convenient location right in the village, close to the Yu Road that takes you up to the ski slopes. We enjoyed its peaceful and comfortable rooms, as well as the excellent Japanese breakfast. the friendly owner was always around to help us out with useful tips about the area.
The public in-door onsen bath had a bit of a sulphite smell that made our experience less enjoyable.

Perfect location to hit the slopes with a short walk to the lifts and easy access to restaurants and bars. Rooms were comfortable with spacious storage for clothes. The public onsen was quiet and a great way to relax after a long day of skiing. Breakfast was included and had delicious options to choose from. The staff was friendly and always willing to help with anything.
There were no negative aspects of my stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay while skiing in this picturesque village.

Such a great experience! the guest house had a wonderful Japanese touch, with beautiful decoration and artifacts. the location was perfect, with easy and quick access to the ski slopes and town center.
The breakfast was a bit limited in options, and could have been a bit more comprehensive. the pillows were not very comfortable and felt lumpy.
